From spreadsheet to store

Create your first Intabl store

Start with a Google account, a computer or laptop, and your product information. Creating and using your store is free.

Use a computer for initial setup. Afterwards, you can update products and manage orders from your phone. Google screens may look different depending on your account language.

1. Copy the template

Copy the English template ↗

Sign in to Google and make your own copy. This copy belongs to you and includes the Intabl script. Do not connect the original template.

Click Share → General access → Anyone with the link → Viewer → Done. Your store needs a publicly readable catalog.

Only keep public product information here. Do not add customer details, orders, passwords or other private information. Orders are stored separately in your seller dashboard.

2. Connect your store

  1. In your copy, open INTABL → Connect store. If the menu is missing, reload the spreadsheet and wait for it to appear.
  2. Select your Google account and review the requested permissions.
  3. Google may show an unverified-app warning. The app has not completed Google's verification. If you trust the template and decide to proceed, choose Advanced → Go to Intabl… (unsafe).
  4. Review access, select the permissions needed for all features, and click Continue. You can use a separate Google account for your store.
  5. Open the dashboard from the connection dialog. Sign in with the same Google account and confirm the connection.
  6. Return to the spreadsheet dialog and wait for your store link.

The script works with your current spreadsheet, reads Drive metadata to find photos, and communicates with Intabl. It does not automatically make your files public. You control sharing.

Open the seller dashboard ↗

3. Add products

Each row in goods is one product. Replace the examples with your own items. You can add more sheets with names starting with goods, such as goods-clothing.

ColumnWhat to enter
idA unique, stable product ID, such as cup-001. Do not reuse it for another item.
nameProduct name.
descriptionProduct details.
priceA number in your store currency. Do not include a currency symbol.
image-urlA public HTTPS link to the main photo.
tagsCategory IDs separated by semicolons. Optional badges: hit, new, sale.

Keep the headers in the first row and do not translate them. Use plain text for IDs and SKUs to preserve leading zeros. IDs must be unique across all goods sheets and category.

Optional columns include sku, stock and image-urls. Put additional photo URLs on separate lines in image-urls. For options, use select: Color with values such as Black; White and price-select: Color with matching surcharges such as 0; 2.

After adding or renaming a goods sheet, choose INTABL → Refresh product sheets. Catalog changes may take a little time to appear because Google caches spreadsheet responses.

4. Organize categories

Use the category sheet. Enter a unique id, a name and, optionally, a photo in image-url-category. For a subcategory, put its parent category ID in tags.

To place a product in a category, add that category ID to the product's tags. The IDs hit, new and sale are reserved for product badges.

5. Add photos

The simplest option is to paste a direct, publicly accessible HTTPS image URL into image-url. Use a photo you have permission to use. Links to a website page or private file will not work as image links.

Or use a Google Drive folder

  1. Create a folder, add your product photos, then set Anyone with the link → Viewer.
  2. Name photos using the product SKU, or its ID if there is no sku column. For cup-001, use cup-001.jpg for the main photo.
  3. For additional photos, use cup-001__2.jpg, cup-001__3.jpg, up to cup-001__10.jpg. Use exactly two underscores before the number.
  4. Choose INTABL → Configure photo folder, paste the folder link and save.
  5. Choose INTABL → Update product and category photos. For a large folder, repeat the command if asked to continue.

Supported file extensions: JPG, JPEG, JFIF, PNG, WebP and GIF. Subfolders are not scanned. Category photos use the category ID as their filename. The images sheet contains the resulting file list and any matching errors.

Manual photo links and formulas are preserved. Next time, add photos to the same folder and run the photo update again.

6. Configure your store

Open your dashboard and select English in the side menu. In Settings, set your store name, logo, storefront language, country and currency. Dashboard language and storefront language are separate settings.

Set the currency before sharing your store. Prices are interpreted in that currency; changing it does not convert amounts in the spreadsheet. Available currencies: UAH, USD, EUR, GBP, PLN, CAD, AUD, CHF, SEK, NOK, DKK, CZK and RON.

Add delivery options and costs, contact details and information pages. You can choose an available store address such as yourstore.intabl.com. Connect Telegram under Notifications if you want new-order alerts.

Order times in the dashboard currently use Kyiv time, as labelled. Payment and delivery are arranged directly between you and your customer; Intabl does not process online payments.

7. Test before sharing

  1. Open your store in a private browser window.
  2. Check the product names, prices, currency, photos, categories and delivery options.
  3. Place a test order and confirm that it appears in your dashboard.
  4. Check the order details and change its status. If you connected Telegram, check your notification.

Once everything looks right, share your store link with customers. You can manage orders and edit products from your phone after initial setup.

Updates & troubleshooting

How do I update the Google search catalog?

Choose INTABL → Update catalog for Google. This synchronizes product URLs for the sitemap. Google decides whether and when to index pages; an update does not guarantee immediate search visibility.

My products are not visible

Check that the spreadsheet is shared as Anyone with the link → Viewer, the goods headers are unchanged, and product IDs are unique. Run Check catalog access and Check product IDs from the INTABL menu. Allow time for Google's cache to refresh.

The connection has expired

Run Connect store again in the spreadsheet and use the same Google account in the dashboard. A temporary connection error does not require deleting your store.

How do I update the script in an existing copy?

New copies receive the script included in the template. Existing copies do not update automatically. Download Code.gs, Photos.gs and Connect.html. In Extensions → Apps Script, replace the corresponding file contents and save. The combined Code.gs already includes the catalog modules; do not add duplicate modules. Reload the spreadsheet afterwards.
